====== Intellectual Property ====== UNISIM is a collaborative effort on simulation technology, it is not a single all-encompassing tool controlled by a single institution. As a result, anyone contributing modules, or parts of the environments, retains the full ownership of their software and can specify so by adding a copyright notice within their software. They are also free to set the license they wish on their software, though, we do encourage contributors to apply the most constraint-free possible license so that both academic and industry groups can use available simulators for their own purposes. The initial contributors of UNISIM have, for the moment, applied the [[http://opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php|new BSD]] license on both the environments and the initial modules. This license allows academic and industry groups to freely embed the simulator parts in their own software, including for commercial purposes, provided they simply acknowledge the origin of the parts they used. However, we highlight again that contributors are not forced in any way to apply the same license. They should just bear in mind that the collective success of the platform may partly depend on having a homogeneous set of licenses. ===== The BSD License ===== Copyright (c) , All rights reserved.
